Information for candidates about digital certificates

What is a digital certificate?

A digital certificate is an electronic document that evidences your achievement in a Trinity College London exam. It looks the same and carries the same validity as a traditional paper certificate. However, digital certificates offer many benefits, including:

  • Efficient and secure electronic delivery
  • Options to share your digital certificate with employers, institutions and governments as a link, PDF or QR code
  • The ability to download and electronically store the digital certificate
  • 24/7 availability of your digital certificate on the online Accredible platform
  • Simple verification for employers and institutions

What is Accredible?

Accredible is a leading platform for creating, issuing, and managing secure digital certificates and badges. Trinity has engaged with Accredible, a trusted company, to offer this service.

On achievement of a Trinity exam, and when the digital certificate is issued, candidates (or a parent or legal guardian) will be sent an email with a weblink to the digital certificate available through the online Accredible platform.

You also have the option to use an account in the Accredible platform to access a range of features, including the ability to share your digital certificate.

Paper certificates

If you wish to hold a hard copy, you will have the option to purchase a paper certificate (excluding digital music theory exams).

The content and quality of our paper certificates have not changed and optional purchase instructions will be provided when you receive an email notification to let you know that your digital certificate is ready. Trinity charges a small fee for this service.
