Trinity College London is an international exam board that has been providing assessments since 1877. We provide recognised and respected qualifications in a unique spectrum of communicative skills — from music, drama and arts activities to English language — at all levels.
Each year over 850,000 candidates in over 60 countries take a Trinity assessment and our international network is growing fast.
Our partners Voice Mag offer a range of resources for candidates working towards a Trinity qualification. Take a look at the collection of creative inspiration, career advice, interviews and stories from young people doing music and drama qualifications on their website: Get qualified with Trinity.
TrinityTalent | Class of 2020
Each year Trinity and Voice Magazine celebrate some of the many young people who achieve our qualifications. Teachers, students and parents can nominate young people who have achieved Trinity arts qualifications during 2020 and have demonstrated: ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENT, CREATIVITY, PROGRESS or LEADERSHIP.
Deadline for nominations: 11 December
In response to the national lockdown announced for England and in consideration of the health and safety of all in the Trinity community, Trinity has taken the decision to suspend all face-to-face exam sessions planned to take place from Thursday 5 November until 31 December 2020. This will include all areas of the UK and the Republic of Ireland, and all subjects including Arts Award face-to-face ‘standard’ and ‘postal’ moderations.
The only exceptions will be music theory/drama written paper/English language reading and writing exams due to take place in private centres only, and English language exams taking place via video conferencing (GESE and ISE). Centres proceeding with these exams must ensure that they fully comply with all prevailing government guidance in the context of COVID-19.
For further information, please see our UK and Ireland specific frequently asked questions.
Our Digital Grades and Diplomas for music, Rock & Pop and drama are available from November. This exciting new product suite will complement traditional face-to-face exams and provide additional options for teachers and learners.
Over the summer of 2020 we offered an assessment alternative for music and drama. This included all solo grades, from Initial to Grade 8, and performance diplomas (excluding FTCL) and allowed you to gain a fully regulated grade or diploma qualification. Booking for these assessments has now closed but further general information can be found on our digital alternative assessment pages.
