Trinity College London, established in 1872, is a leading international awarding organisation, publisher and independent education charity. We specialise in the assessment of communicative and performance skills covering music, drama, combined arts and English language.

Our aim is to inspire teachers and learners through the creation of assessments that are enjoyable to prepare for, rewarding to teach and that develop the skills needed in real life.
The first Trinity exams were held in New Zealand in 1895. Since those first exams, Trinity has grown to provide practical and written exams in Music and Drama, and Rock & Pop.

Use your Trinity music achievement towards NCEA
Candidates in New Zealand who have passed an eligible Trinity Classical & Jazz or Rock & Pop examination at Grade 3 or above may be able to gain NCEA credits through Let’s Go Music, an NZQA-registered Private Training Establishment.
Eligible examinations include technical and repertoire pathways where applicable, completed face-to-face or digitally. Trinity music qualifications are not NZQA-approved. Let’s Go considers Trinity examination evidence against NCEA achievement standards under its NZQA consent to assess. Eligibility depends on domestic learner status, the examination pathway and the requirements of the relevant NCEA achievement standard. Higher Trinity grades are required for some standards.
Credits and NCEA grades are determined through Let’s Go’s separate verification and recognition process and are not automatically awarded or converted from a Trinity result. Your Trinity qualification and examination result remain complete and final. The NCEA recognition process does not reassess or change your Trinity result. Any additional evidence is required solely to establish NCEA recognition requirements and the appropriate NCEA outcome.
