Whilst various regional restrictions remain in place, Trinity’s Secure English Language Testing is considered by UKVI as an ‘essential service’, so Trinity’s test points remain open. However, we remain as flexible as you need us to be and, if during this period you do not wish to travel or take your test, please contact our Customer Care team by email at email@example.com or call us on 0333 358 3183. This remains a developing situation and we will continue to provide updates through our social media channels (Facebook and Twitter), our website and will contact you directly if your test is affected by any future changes.
Trinity Secure English Language Testing (SELT) is available across the United Kingdom and we are committed to providing you with the safest test experience possible.
Candidates are asked to wear face masks. To comply with government guidelines you will be required to wear a facial covering inside the Trinity test building. If you arrive without a face mask one will be provided free of charge. We will require you to briefly take off your mask at the registration desk to allow us to confirm your identity. You will not be required to wear your mask during your online speaking and listening exam.

In response to the situation created by COVID-19, we have introduced a way for you to take your English speaking and listening test in a Trinity SELT test centre during this time of pandemic.
You will now take your one-to-one speaking and listening test with a Trinity examiner online via video conference at our UKVI-approved SELT test points. There is no change to the exam length, content and skills assessed for Trinity’s GESE speaking and listening exams online.
Some aspects of the exam day experience will necessarily differ from standard processes. We explain here what to expect and what we are asking you to do support the safeguarding measures we are putting in place.

GESE and ISE level B1 candidates can download or copy a simple version of the standard Topic discussion form template to prepare and bring with them on exam day.
The global COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world for all of us in ways we could never have imagined. We understand how that has created an extra level of anxiety and worry for many of you having to deal with visa deadlines, cancelled tests and limited movement due to the lockdown.
We worked closely with the UK Visa and Immigration service and used our social media platforms to communicate with you all and we hope you were able to find the help and information you needed during these challenging times.
In order to support you we have decided to offer free online training to help you all prepare for testing and we have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback we have received.
When SELT testing restarted in early June we tried to reschedule your test as quickly as possible as we understand the time pressure you all had to face. Colleagues from the whole Trinity family worked together to make sure this was possible. We also expanded our Test locations to avoid you having to travel too far or wait too long.
Your safety and that of our examiners and staff is at the heart of everything we do so we have put in place strict social distancing, use of masks and regular deep cleaning, to ensure you all feel safe and secure during your SELT experience with us. Where possible, we have looked to limit face-to-face contact during our tests by introducing digital testing, which has been positively embraced by everyone.
We would really like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time and also extend our thanks to all the agents and those involved in supporting our candidates’ journeys.
