Recognition

In Australia, most tertiary institutions recognize Trinity grades and diplomas as awards assisting applicants to gain entry. Many universities now provide additional bonus points for entry upon successful completion of Trinity diplomas.

  • In Victoria, Students who have successfully completed Grade 7 or above of certain Trinity College London examinations may obtain one unit of ‘unspecified credit’ at Unit 1 or Unit 2 level toward the VCE.
  • In South Australia, practical music examinations are recognised from Grades 5-8 on the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) from the SACE Board of SA

In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Trinity is recognised by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual), the Welsh Assembly Government and Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA).

 

QCAA Recognition

The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA), Australia, has confirmed that all Trinity music and performing arts qualifications above Grade 4 now contribute credits towards the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).

On 1 June 2022, the QCAA confirmed a list of Trinity music and performing arts qualifications as acceptable for credit on the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). The QCE is Queensland's senior secondary schooling qualification that provides evidence of senior schooling achievements. This recognition of Trinity qualifications applies to all schools in the Australian State of Queensland and is valid until 2027.
