Trinity ISE (Integrated Skills in English) quailfications are widely accepted by higher education institutions in Ireland, as listed below.
ISE is available at five levels from A2 to C2 on the Common European Framework (CEFR). Details of individual requirements per subject can be found on each institution's website.
Note: university requirements can be subject to change and you should always confirm with the institution by email or phone.
Since January 2016, only providers who can demonstrate that they have reached an acceptable quality standard appear on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP), approved by the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS). Trinity is one of five awarding bodies approved to provide English language proficiency exams at the conclusion of an English language programme, taken with a provider on the Interim List.
