Music centres in the UK and Ireland

You can either enter for an exam at one of Trinity’s public centres or request an examiner to come to you.

  • for further information on booking an examiner visit, please see Private music exam visits in England, Scotland and Wales. Examiner visits are not available in Northern Ireland.
  • to enter for an exam at a public centre, first please decide which exam centre and dates work best for you, then fill in an entry form and send with the appropriate fee to the local representative before the closing date. Each centre has a local representative who can assist you in entering for an exam. The local representative will organise the enrolment and scheduling of the exam, as well as making sure your results and certificates are sent to you after the exam.

Music exams in UK and Ireland - entry information

Note: you can request confirmation that your application form has been received by including a stamped addressed envelope with your application. Otherwise you should expect an appointment to be confirmed around three weeks in advance of the exam date.

Theory exams

Theory exams can be sat at centres marked with a (T) on the list of centres. To enter for an exam fill in an entry form and send with the appropriate fee to the local representative before the theory closing date as found in the list of centres. Each centre has a local representative who can assist you in entering for an exam. The local representative will organise the enrolment and scheduling of the exam, as well as making sure your results and certificates are sent to you after the exam. 

Centres may not be offering written exams on all available days. Please contact the centre representative to check which day they have their exams.

Music online booking
