Music Certificate Exams
Certificate exams consist of a mini-recital of pieces, including the option to present own choice repertoire. There is no technical work and no supporting tests.
Certificates are available for many instruments (including singing), and for groups of any combination of instruments and/or voices, at three levels:
|Certificate level||Equivalent grade level|
You should read the syllabus requirements carefully before your exam. If you do not meet all the relevant requirements, the examiner may refer your exam result to Trinity’s London office for review and marks may be deducted.
Certificate exams are available for a wide range of instruments - for instruments without a Certificate repertoire list, candidates may select their pieces from the graded lists; please see the syllabus for full details. Specific certificate repertoire lists are available for the following instruments:
|View repertoire lists for piano duet|
|View repertoire lists for piano 6 hands|
|View indicative repertoire for choral certificates|
