Trinity to expand Secure English Language Testing services in the UK

16 Dec 2019

Trinity College London is delighted to announce that it has again been awarded a Home Office concession agreement that will enable it to expand current provision of UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) approved Secure English Language Tests (SELTs) in the UK.

“We are extremely proud of our track record of providing trusted secure English language tests for the UKVI and are delighted to be able to build upon the excellent customer service standards that we provide here in the UK” said Sarah Kemp, CEO, Trinity College London.

SELTs are required by UKVI as evidence of English language proficiency for the purpose of obtaining a visa to work, study, or settle in the UK. Trinity’s Graded Exams in Spoken English (GESE) test focuses on real life communication in a one-to-one live conversation with an experienced examiner. Trinity’s Integrated Skills in English (ISE) test builds real life English skills and transferable skills required for academic study and employability.

Trinity has been offering trusted and supportive government-approved secure English language tests in the UK since 2011. Under the terms of the new concession Trinity will be able to extend access to its English language testing centres across the UK and build upon its existing strong customer service offer.

“We’ve had consistently positive feedback from test takers about the way we’ve supported their customer journey, from booking and taking their tests to receiving their results” says Phil Bond, General Manger, SELT, “and we’re looking forward to being able to expand our testing services to more locations around the country."

Trinity will publish further details in the new year when tests commence under the terms of the new Home Office arrangements. Meanwhile tests in Trinity SELT Centres continue to be valid under the current arrangements.
