New Guitar syllabus and publications for 2016 available now

15 Sep 2015

Our new 2016-2019 Guitar syllabus is available to download now.

The new Guitar syllabus features brand new repertoire lists for classical guitar, including newly commissioned pieces and duets, encompassing a wide range of styles and genres. Refreshed technical work covers important skills and techniques.

A new set of repertoire books for classical guitar is also available now (Initial to Grade 8). Each book features 10 pieces, with three additional duets included in the books for Initial to Grade 3.

New technical work books are also available to order and include new technical exercises, scales and arpeggios, studies and concerto extracts. Two books are available - one for Initial to Grade 5 and one for Grades 6-8.

Brand new repertoire books for plectrum guitar will be available for the very first time in October, and can be pre-ordered now from music retailers and our online shop. Three books will be available (Initial-Grade 2, Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8) and each book will contain six pieces per grade.

A one year overlap arrangement will be in place so candidates may perform repertoire and technical work from the current syllabuses until the end of 2016.
