We’re joining the discussion at the IATEFL YLTSIG Annual Webconference 2023

16 December 2022

The IATEFL Young Learners and Teenagers SIG is one of the 16 International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) special interest groups and is an integral part of IATEFL’s worldwide network of English language teaching professionals.

During the 3-day, annual IATEFL YLTSIG Webconference 13-15 January, Simon Dunton will be joining the discussion on ‘TEFL-i qualifications: fit for purpose in the YL world’.

Often, TEFL-i courses leading to initial teaching qualifications such as The Trinity Certificate in TESOL (CertTESOL) almost exclusively focus on the teaching of adults, but what happens when new English language teachers are sent into the YL classroom?

Simon Dunton alongside other expert panelists, including, Doaa Zakaria Yusof, Elizabeth Evans Cicconi, and Vinnie Nobre will reflect on this situation and offer their views and opinions at 12:00pm (UK time) on Saturday 14 January.
