In this webinar, we will explore the importance of storytelling and ways in which we can utilize storytelling to promote the four core skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English language classrooms.
The session highlights different forms of storytelling such as oral, visual and digital. We will examine how storytelling can be adapted for young learners, teens and adults. Participants will be exposed to practical activities to engage learners by harnessing the power of storytelling and be equipped to reflect and meet the needs of their contexts.

Rasheedat Sadiq holds a certificate in teaching English to speakers of other languages and works as a language teacher and programme coordinator in Abuja, Nigeria. She runs The Mobile Reading Room, a mobile library which gives children in under-served areas access to books and explicit instruction on a wide range of comprehension strategies.
She is a mentor and belongs to numerous professional learning communities. She also trains teachers on learner-centred pedagogy with a focus on utilising emotional intelligence to derive learning outcomes.
Rasheedat is a storytelling teacher who loves to share her knowledge and experiences at webinars, workshops and conferences.
