Performance – Ravel: Pavane pour une Infante Défunte (own arrangement)

The Linos Piano Trio hold the position of ‘Artists-in-Residence’ at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, and have been working with the conservatoire since 2017.

In this video you hear an extract from the trio’s own arrangement of Ravel’s ‘Pavane pour une infante défunte’. Part of the trio’s Stolen Music project, this is a re-imagination of the original piano and orchestral scores through the medium of piano trio, allowing the work to be heard in a fresh new light as well as for the trio potential to be stretched.

An arrangement of the Pavane by Maganini appears on the Cello syllabus at Grade 8.
