Global Communication in English qualifications enable learners to be assessed on their English language learning achievements. The structured yet flexible framework allows learners to demonstrate their language proficiency for global communication and provides recognised evidence of what they have achieved.
Learning outcomes focus on the key language skills needed for effective communication: spoken interaction and production, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, written production, and use of English. Learners are awarded a CEFR level from A1 to C2 that reflects their performance.
Learners' language development is confirmed through an end-of-course assessment. This provides a clear measure of their achievement.
Global Communication in English qualifications are open to learners aged 8 years and above who are participating in group-based English language lessons. There is no requirement to have completed previous English language courses or qualifications.
