About ISE Digital

An English exam for the 21st century

This contemporary four-skills language exam is designed for individuals who require English language skills for their studies and professional advancement. With a strong emphasis on real-life language and the development of transferable skills for academic and career success, ISE Digital assesses the skills needed to thrive in the modern world.

ISE Digital can predict success using English in real-life interactions. The exam tasks challenge candidates to be flexible in applying their language knowledge as these skills are essential in a range of environments – from travel to study to employment.

Comprehensive exam feedback and results

Trinity College London is unique in providing comprehensive feedback on student performance. Candidates receive a detailed report for each module, which includes the CEFR level they have attained. It also offers diagnostic insights, showing strengths and areas for improvement.

Trinity's ISE Digital certificates show separate results for speaking, listening, reading and writing: the individual module scores and a CEFR level. If candidates are dissatisfied with their result, they have the flexibility to re-take one module within a 90-day period and use their best scores in their final result.

Transferable skills for study and employment

Preparing for ISE Digital helps develop authentic communicative abilities and transferable skills that are crucial for academic study and employment. These skills include synthesising information, participating in interactive discussions and presenting on topics of personal interest.
