ElHassania

Name: ElHassania
Background: Excel College helped ELhassania build a happy life for herself and her children in the UK after she was forced to work around the clock for two years.

ElHassania had a difficult and traumatic introduction to the UK. Over two years as a victim of domestic slavery, ElHassania did not see natural sunlight or go outdoors until one day she spotted a key left by mistake in a door, which gave her a way out.

After reaching out to Excel College, they learned ElHassania was illiterate and had never been to school in her country, struggling to speak English. As proof of her English language ability, ElHassania prepared hard and passed her Trinity Secure English Language Test (SELT) GESE Grade 5 (B1) exam with their help.

“My life has changed a lot, I’m a strong woman now, I’m happy, I’m happy for my life.”

With the help and friendship of everyone at Excel College, they assisted ElHassania in becoming a British Citizen, helping her apply for a passport, and finding accommodation. As a mother of two, ElHassania is happy to finally feel at home after embarking on a steady career and beginning a family.

“Now I’m feeling I’m English, I’m feeling this is my country, my children’s country.”

“My life has changed a lot, I’m a strong woman now, I’m happy, I’m happy for my life.”
