The competition, which ran from April to May 2019, was open to composers aged 30 or under.

The winners will have their works considered for inclusion in the Trinity piano graded exam books, which will support the 2021-2023 syllabus. They will receive prize money as follows:

  • Initial–Grade 2: £400
  • Grades 3–5: £500
  • Grades 6–8: £600

Congratulations to all of those who entered — the response to the competition was phenomenal, and it has been inspiring to see such creativity and musical diversity amongst young composers around the world.
