Trinity’s new Acting and Speaking specifications available now

29 Sep 2017

Trinity’s new specifications for Acting and Speaking are now available to download.

Candidates can take solo, pair and group exams that allow them to showcase their skills in performance-based contexts, and to specialise in specific performance-related areas.

The newly designed specifications:

  • Give more guidance for teachers and learners
  • Offer learners more performance opportunities
  • Reflect what you teach and the way you teach it

There is an overlap in place, so the ‘from 2010’ edition of these specifications are valid for exams until 31 March 2018. During this time, candidates may prepare for their exam using either that document or the new ‘from 2017’ specifications.

Visit our Acting and Speaking page for more details.

The performances you want to give
Candidates choose the syllabus strand that suits their individual strengths and can make the exam their own by creating a programme from pieces they're already studying, that they enjoy, or that present a new challenge.

The skills you need to develop
Our performance-grounded exams are specifically designed to develop learners' skills through the repertoire they perform, and have the flexibility to allow them to focus on the areas in which they want to specialise.

The recognition you deserve
Candidates are assessed through an externally regulated and internationally recognised exam system, with a 140-year heritage that you can trust. They can also gain UCAS points for Grades 6-8.
