Trinity College London is delighted to announce a new agreement with the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM), creating an exciting progression opportunity for aspiring contemporary musicians.
Under the agreement, students who have achieved Trinity Rock & Pop Grade 6 or above in Bass, Guitar, Keyboard, Vocals or Drums will meet the performance entry requirement for eligible ACM Performance degree programmes, without needing to undertake a separate performance audition*.
The recognition applies to both face-to-face and digital Trinity Rock & Pop exams, providing greater flexibility for students looking to take their musical ambitions further.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to developing practical, industry-relevant performance skills and nurturing musical individuality. It also highlights how Trinity's recognised qualifications can support progression beyond graded music exams and into higher education.
For teachers, students and parents, this provides another valuable opportunity to build on musical achievements and explore future pathways in contemporary music.
