Revisions to Trinity’s Musical Theatre and Performance Arts Grade and Certificate syllabus

Trinity has made a series of revisions to it Musical Theatre and Performance Arts Grade and Certificate syllabus. These revisions have been made in order to:

  • Provide clarification and guidance to support teachers and students when preparing for exams
  • Make changes as required by Ofqual, the UK’s government regulatory body.


Details of these revisions are as follows. Please note that exam requirements for this syllabus remain the same.

To provide clarification and guidance to support teachers and students when preparing for our exams
  • The inclusion of the new ‘Performance only’ additional pathway for the Production exams

  • The removal of the requirement for there to be a second candidate at Advanced Level in the Performance Certificates (this is now optional)

  • Clearer and more extensive guidance on task expectations and the selection of repertoire

 

To make any changes required by Ofqual, the UK’s government regulatory body
  • The inclusion of guidelines on Guided Learning Hours and Total Qualification Times

  • Clearer objectives for each exam to help teachers and candidates identify the right qualification for their needs

  • The inclusion of information on the UCAS points awarded for solo and pair exams
