Penelope Fox

Penelope recently took her Grade 1 Piano and achieved a very high mark of 97/100 as well as some very positive comments on her playing and performance, including for the exam piece 'Clockwork Ballerina' which she composed herself.

Penelope is a very able pianist and enjoys her lessons and makes the most of all the opportunities presented to her: having performed recently in both her class assembly (accompanying the whole class for one of their main songs) and playing one of her own compostion pieces in a recent piano assembly which was very well received.

Penelope also put in a lot of work in the weeks before her exam to build fluency and incorporate all the musical details into her pieces and bring out the musical character of each one which helped to ensure that she was able to give a polished exam performance on the day. Penelope is a pleasure to teach and I'm looking forward to supporting her as we work towards her Grade 2!
