  • Call and response as an improvisation technique to use with students
  • Having your instrument out and ready at all times so it’s there when you want to improvise
  • Playing along with music, such as music playing on the radio, to practise
  • Improvising for as long as your ideas are flowing, and thinking about having a start, beginning and an end.
