Trinity’s Secure English Language Tests feature on BBC The One Show

One of Trinity’s candidates was featured on The One Show on BBC1 on Monday 22 February, taking a Secure English Language Test (SELT) at the Manchester SELT Centre.

SELTs demonstrate knowledge of English language for family route, work visa applications and British Citizenship, and are taken in secure testing centres across the UK to meet Home Office security requirements.

Since arriving in the UK from Pakistan, Aisha has worked hard to improve her English. Passing her language test will allow her to progress her application to remain in the UK.

Aisha said: ‘Learning English has been hard work, but I am glad about what I have achieved. I work full time to support my two daughters and wanted to help show other people that nothing is impossible if you work hard for it.’

Sarah Kemp, Chief Executive of Trinity College London said: ‘Trinity supports thousands of students each year to progress and ultimately achieve their goals – whether they’re learning English to support a visa application, or improving their musical skills. We were pleased to have the opportunity to show the journey that many of our candidates go through, and congratulate Aisha – as well as all our other successful candidates – on what they have achieved.’
