Trinity wins award for gender balance of conference speaker panel

8 Apr 2019

Trinity College London and Regent’s University were delighted to receive an Award from The Fair List organisation at the IATEFL Conference in Liverpool last week. The Award was presented on 3 April by Tessa Woodward from The Fair List to representatives from Trinity College London and Regent’s University in recognition of the gender balance of the speaker panel they had jointly assembled for the 2018 Future of English Language Conference hosted in London last summer.

Alex Thorp, Trinity’s lead academic, Language (Europe), said: “We’re delighted to win this award alongside our conference partner Regent’s University – it’s great to be recognised in this way by The Fair List.”

Created in 2013, The Fair List celebrates excellence in the achievement of gender balance in plenary speakers, presenters or speaker panels at English Language Teaching events in the UK.

Trinity and Regent’s University have also been recognised by EVE (Equal Voices in ELT) with an ‘EVE of the Year’ purple category award for the gender balance of its 2018 Future of ELT Conference speaker line up.
