Trinity College London proudly supporting A Celebration of Schools' Music

12 Mar 2012

As principal sponsor, Trinity would like to congratulate all the talented young musicians who participated in this year’s Celebration, along with Aldeburgh Music and Suffolk County Council for their endeavours.

During its six-day extravaganza, running from 5-10 March, Celebration provided the opportunity to sample a selection of the wide-ranging work currently being produced within Suffolk schools.  2012 saw Celebration enter its 25th year and boast being the largest schools’ music festival of its kind, drawing approximately 1,600 young people from 45 different schools performing at Snape Maltings Concert Hall; of which was creatively decorated by visual artists Butch Auntie, and packed out night after night.

An Aldeburgh Music spokesperson said, ‘The Programmes being performed during the week reflect the wealth of musical talent of young people in Suffolk and display a vivid array of different types of music making.’ They continue, ‘Celebration 2012 sees more new schools than ever taking part in this six-day celebration of Suffolk schools’ music.’
