The repertoire in Trinity’s new Singing 2018-2021 syllabus covers a wide range of styles and languages, the latter including English, Italian, Czech, German, French, Spanish, Welsh, Hungarian and Russian. To explore the benefits of singing in a foreign language, we asked professional singer Vanessa Heine to tell us about her personal experiences of doing so, and what she feels she gets out of singing in different languages.
