IATEFL 2024 Scholarships funded by Trinity College London

23 May 2023

As an international exam board for English language exams, English teaching qualifications, and an independent education charity, Trinity College London funds two scholarships organised by the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL). These scholarships provide a valuable opportunity for teachers, teacher trainers, and other professionals in the English language teaching (ELT) industry to attend the IATEFL Annual Conference in the UK.

In 2024, the 57th IATEFL Conference will take place in Brighton, United Kingdom, 16-19 April. The conference attracts an international audience and is expected to feature 4 days of informative talks and inspiring workshops.

The scholarships funded by Trinity College London for this popular event in 2024 are:

The Trinity College London Language Examinations Scholarship

The aim of this scholarship is to enable an ELT professional working in the field of examinations and assessment development to present their work to a wider audience by giving a presentation suitable for inclusion in the Testing, Evaluation and Assessment Showcase at the IATEFL Conference.

The Trinity College London Teacher Trainer Scholarship

The aim of this scholarship is to enable a practising teacher educator to present their work to a wider audience by giving a presentation suitable for inclusion in the Teacher Training and Education Special Interest Group Showcase at the IATEFL Conference.

Both scholarships include conference registration fees, access to related events, a year’s IATEFL membership, and £1,000 towards conference-related expenses.

To be considered, applicants must submit a proposal before the submission deadline of 16:00 (UK time) on Wednesday, 21 June 2023.
