Trinity is exhibiting at the ELT Ireland Annual Conference 2020

6 Feb 2020

As an associate of ELT Ireland, Trinity College London will be exhibiting at the 6th Annual ELT Ireland Annual Conference 2020 on 22-23 February 2020 at Griffith College, Dublin. The event will host over 30 speakers and is expected to welcome over 300 delegates across the two days.

Throughout the conference, our team will be on hand, showcasing Trinity’s internationally recognised English language and English teaching qualifications and awards. These include:

  • Integrated Skills in English (ISE)
Trinity's Integrated Skills in English exam (ISE) is a contemporary four skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) qualification recognised by governments and institutions, including INIS.
  • Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE)
GESE exams are for people of all ages who want to develop communicative English language speaking and listening skills for use in real life - whatever the purpose, whether for immigration, work, study, leisure or employment.
  • Trinity Stars: Young Performers in English Award
Our Trinity Stars: Young Performers in English Award is designed to encourage teaching and learning English language through drama, music and performance.
  • CertTESOL
The Trinity Certificate in TESOL is an initial teacher training qualification that will equip you with the basic skills and knowledge to take up a first post as an English language teacher.

Trinity’s Alison Castle Kane, Head of Business Development - UKIM Language (UK, Ireland and Malta), will be presenting on What you need to know about GESE. This short talk will challenge what you think you know, and demonstrate how learners of any age, any ability, and from any background can benefit from the assessment. We will also look at how easily GESE fits with the General English syllabus making it easy to prepare for, and easy to administer.
