Maria Chiara's story

Name: Maria Chiara
Location: Italy
Subject: English Language (GESE)

Preparing for the Trinity GESE exam in a professional institute is an empowering experience for students and teachers - so says Maria Chiara Schir, English language teacher at Giuseppe Veronesi - Centre for Scholastic Education and Professional Training in Rovereto, in the province of Trento.

“I have been preparing for the Trinity certification exams for many years because I liked them right away: I find that they are designed and structured based on a deep respect for the student and for the teacher".

“In fact, from the point of view of the students, they are exams that I would define empowering, because they really allow you to learn. From the teacher's point of view, they give great satisfaction as they allow students to see their skills grow without resorting to teaching to the test".

All the students at the school where Maria Chiara teaches now take the Trinity exams, from the first to the fifth year. Starting initially with the lowest grades, many students manage to reach C1 or C2.

Maria Chiara told us about the motivational role the GESE exams play, particularly within schools with a professional vocation.

"We have witnessed a very strong growth in skills. In the professional institute where I teach, great importance is given to oral communication skills and from this point of view, Trinity GESE is an ideal tool for strengthening English language skills, also in view of entering the world of work or accessing vocational training courses".

“I am also fortunate to work with very collaborative colleagues in every aspect of the organization of the exam: from determining the Grades for each student, to completing the exam timetable."

"The Trinity support team is also always by our side with continuous training opportunities. Ultimately, preparing for Trinity exams is also an excellent team working tool”.
