Trinity supports the Primary Proms Concert Series

24 Jan 2013
The Primary Proms aim to inspire the next generation of music-makers. Performed by young people for young people, they provide primary school children with firsthand experience of live performance in a fun and engaging environment to encourage their involvement in music.
The Primary Proms will be taking place in Exeter on 31 January and in Birmingham on 4 February and have been organised by the music education charity Music for Youth. Trinity College London, a supporter of Music for Youth, will be running twilight sessions prior to the proms with teachers to help them explore creative music teaching ideas for all teachers, regardless of level of musical expertise or experience.
Francesca Christmas, Head of Academic Governance for Music at Trinity College London said, “We’re delighted to be part of the professional development provision for teachers attending the Primary Proms. These sessions will help all teachers - regardless of the level of their musical expertise - to embed the musical ideas from the Prom concerts into their teaching, and to encourage exciting and creative music teaching for all of their pupils.”
The Primary Prom Teacher Sessions are free to attend. For further details please visit Music for Youth
