Apply to become an ESOL examiner or marker

Due to continuing growth of SELT ISE in the London area, we are seeking to expand our panel of Reading & Writing Integrated Skills in English markers.

If you are interested in applying to become a SELT ISE Reading & Writing exam marker please download the relevant documents below and complete the application form.

To be eligible to apply to become a SELT ISE marker for Trinity you will be required to:

  • travel to Trinity’s Croydon office twice a week to mark exam scripts and therefore need to live within 2 hours travel time to East Croydon.
  • be available either for a minimum of 2 consecutive days every week: Tuesdays and Wednesdays and/or Thursdays and Fridays for at least 2 weeks a month.

All of our examiners are independent, freelance, self-employed individuals.

International ESOL examiner recruitment

Trinity is not currently recruiting for International ESOL examiners - please check back regularly for future opportunities.


All examiners and markers are required to examine C2 CEFR level candidates and must be able to communicate at this level themselves in order to carry out accurate assessments. The role description explains the qualifications that we accept.
