Arts Award’s digital portfolio space, Artsbox, now available to all UK schools
15 September 2014
Trinity College London is pleased to announce that Artsbox, a new free digital portfolio space and app, is now available to all UK schools.
Artsbox is a digital space and app for children and young people who are working towards their Arts Award or simply want to safely record their arts experiences in one place and share them with others.
Artsbox helps teachers and Arts Award advisers to support young people and assess their progress. Young people working towards an Arts Award can use Artsbox to collect evidence and create a digital portfolio. Young people can upload video, audio, photographs and documents to record their creative journey. The free Artsbox app allows them to collate and share arts experiences on the move.
Artsbox was highly commended in a recent review in TEACH Secondary magazine:
‘A big draw of Artsbox is that it’s not going to cost you a penny. It saves space, it saves time and it could quite possibly save the day if you misplace a piece of creative genius or it gets damaged or lost. The site is easy to use, user friendly, intuitive and flexible.’
To help you get started, watch the brief ‘how to’ film guides and see what educators who are using Artsbox have to say in this short film.
The Arts Award team are also offering teachers the chance to win an iPad, by registering with Artsbox before 31 October 2014.

More about Arts Award and Artsbox
Artsbox has been developed by Trinity College London for Arts Award, a range of unique qualifications in the arts for young people aged up to 25. It’s funded by Arts Council England and the Department for Education and has been developed and tested by leading social learning specialists Makewaves, with brand and visual design by Hot Pepper Design. Artsbox was developed and tested by 500 young people from 25 Arts Award centres during autumn 2013.
To get started with Arts Award, teachers and practitioners train to become Arts Award advisers, who provide guidance for young people doing Arts Award. Artsbox helps Arts Award advisers to share ideas, support young people and track and assess their progress online. Find out more about training to become an Arts Award adviser here.
